So Drake spotted a "green four wheeler with real engines" at the Davis Fair in September and he has been asking for that exact same thing until he finally got it. Drake and I looked and found some four wheelers online but the only green one we could find was the dinosaur one. When Drake saw it online for the first time, he instantly fell in love. So we printed off a picture of it and wrote a letter to Santa showing him exactly what Drake wanted. Anytime someone would ask him what he wanted Santa to bring he would say really fast.... "a green four wheeler with real engines that opens his mouth that's a dinosaur one". Most people just caught the "dinosaur" part but luckily Santa knew and Drake got just what he wanted!!! He couldn't have been happier on Christmas morning. It was the cutest thing in the world! Before he even checked to see if Santa brought him a four wheeler though he was so worried to make sure that Santa ate his cookies!

So Santa must know each one of us very, very well!!! Thank you Santa for everything!

Dream Big Dance Christmas Recital, it went so well and I just love my girls!

So we were wondering if Drake had really been nibbling at his chocolate Santa on his candy train when we weren't looking. Until one day Josh came out of his office because he kept hearing a rustling noise and Drake and I weren't home. When he walked into the kitchen, he saw Juicy (3lb dog) on top of the table just nibbling away at the candy.

Drake had a blast at his Pajama Party at school!!!

So Drake told me he was going to go to Hudson's house to play, a few minutes later I went over to check on him and there he was sitting on his front porch. I asked him what he was doing and he said "I am just waiting for Hudson, he is walking home from school." It was so sweet. He loves his friend Hudson! Hudson is 6 and Drake is only 3 but they get along so well. They write each other notes and draw pictures and leave them on the porches for each other. Drake learned how to draw a heart and said that it says "I love Hudson" ha ha they are so cute!

Drake and Sydney finally braved the rain and went Trick or Treating!!

This is how our Halloween night started off. We had to forcefully wake him up to get his costume on and go trick or treating!!!!

Our friends Nick and Kaitlin had an awesome Halloween party! It was so much fun. All of the adults went out on a scavenger hunt around to all of the scariest places in Bountiful and there were people there to scare us, it was way better than a haunted house. A few people stayed back with the kiddos while they played in a bounce house. After the scavenger hunt we came back for dinner and hung out! At the party Drake was voted and won a trophy for "Best costume", he thought he was pretty cool!

Update on my DAD

Okay, so a few posts ago I told the story about my Dad. A couple of months ago the docs had given him 3-6 weeks to live. That has luckily not been the case. Things were getting really hard at home and he needed more care than his wife could do so about a month ago they put him in a nursing home where he can get 24 hour care. Two weeks ago he had a really good week and gained some weight which was good because so much weight had been lost. He gained back a lot of energy and was more alert than I had seen him in the past few weeks. Since then he has gone back to being really tired and not much energy. They have the medication under control so he isn't really in any pain. While he has been in the nursing home he doesn't have his cell phone so he can't text me anymore but he calls me after every Jazz game so we can talk about the highlights, we were able to take Drake to go see him in his Halloween costume which they both loved! We also took him on a ride up through Bountiful to show him the beautiful colors of the trees! Also, whenever we visit I push Drake and my Dad in the wheelchair to go see the fish tank. He is hanging on and has a wonderful opportunity to spend some more time with his family! It has been a roller coaster but like I said before it has been a blessing for our family and we have had some good moments!

So I am just coming to find out that my baby is not a baby anymore. I was trying to figure out why all of the sudden I was having a hard time dropping him off at preschool. I have been doing it for a couple of months now with no problem. Then last week after I dropped him off I really felt like my heart was breaking in two as I was driving away. The next week I dropped him off with my sister in law to go have a sleepover with his cousins and I called Josh crying because I didn't want to leave him!!!! I know I am crazy, he has had many sleepovers so it's not like this was the first. I then realized it is because it has finally hit me that he really is growing up and way too fast!!!
Top 10 reasons it is clear to see that Drake is not a baby anymore......
1. He says "what the heck"
2. He wants his privacy when changing and going to the bathroom
3. He would rather be playing with his friends than with me :(
4. He prefers to do EVERYTHING all by himself
5. He wants a golf bag to put his real golf clubs in so he can go golfing with Daddy
6. He wants two real football helmets so him and Dad can play "real" football
7. He walks in the house after church and says "Are you ready for some football?!!!"
8. All he wants for christmas is a "real four wheeler with real engines that you put real gas in that is green, not dark green."
9. He knows how to navigate through the games on my phone way better than me!
10. He is growing out of the nap phase
My little boy is growing up. However, there are a few things that let me know I am still needed and wanted every once in a while. He still needs mommy's love when he is tired or sick, I still make most of his meals for him and he still gets excited and runs to me with a great big smile and hug when I pick him up from school!
Being a Mom is the best thing in the whole world and I realize that more and more everyday. Whenever the days get really hard and overwhelming there is always something that reminds me how lucky I am to have this wonderful opportunity to be a Mom.... especially to be Drake's mommy!

Drake is loving EVERYTHING about Halloween this season...... the treats, haunted houses, decorations, costumes and fun activities. He is also obsessed with the MJ Thriller. He loves the song and music video and he has some pretty cool moves to it!

September has almost come to an end so I just thought I would update our September adventures!!!! I am so sad that summer is over but I have to be honest, this weather has been awesome!! I wish it could stay like this for just a few more months! We weren't able to go to Bear Lake for Labor Day this year but we did have an awesome weekend because my brother Nick was in town. It is always so good to see him. He is coming again this weekend, so we are excited!!
This was Drake ready for "yellow day" at school... Also notice his cell phone holder with his real flip cell phone in it. My Dad gave this to him and he wears it almost everyday. He pulls it out, flips it open and tells everyone to be quiet because he is on the phone. It is hilarious!

For Labor Day we went with my family to Park City and went biking then took lunch to the park and played baseball!!! It was so much fun just to hang out with the family all day long! We need more days off like that.

Catch up time!!!

Well I actually have a lot to catch up on. A few weeks ago Josh and I went car shopping in Salt Lake and Murray area. We had Drake and Juicy in the car with us so we were just getting in and out of the car looking at different cars. Anyway, at one point Juicy snuck out of the car and ran off. Neither Josh or I noticed so we just drove off thinking she was still in the back seat sleeping. The bad thing about the whole story is we didn't even notice she was gone until a couple of hours later. When we finally noticed Josh and I both panicked and felt horrible!!! We backtracked every move we made but she was no where to be found. We searched for her for five days straight and found out that she was last seen in Murray the night we lost her. Josh and I were both completely heart broken and I was a mess. I knew I loved that dog but I never realized how much! We had so many people that helped us look for her everyday, my mom was just as heartbroken as I was. We are so lucky to have such good friends and family though that were so helpful! We lost Juicy on Saturday night and after searching for five days I got a call on Thursday evening from a young kid that told me he found her! I didn't believe him at first but after he described her perfectly to me I know that it was her!!!! I had to go to practice so Josh and Drake drove right there and picked her up. A family from West Jordan picked her up late Saturday night in Murray and took her home. We still aren't sure why they took so long to call us but we don't even care, we are just so glad she is home!!! HOME SWEET HOME!!!

Drake also started Preschool this month!!! It is so crazy that he is old enough to go to school. I had a blast school shopping for him and getting everything ready the night before but when I actually dropped him off and left him there, it was the craziest feeling ever! I felt like I didn't know what I was supposed to do. Luckily I had a bunch of stuff to catch up on here at home but coming home to a quiet house was defiantly out of the norm. He was so happy and excited when I picked him up so that made me feel really good. I am really happy for him and I know that it will be so good for him!

On the last note, we have been very lucky to spend some really good quality time with my Dad lately. My Dad was diagnosed with Colon cancer a few months ago and because it is so fast spreading, it has spread through out almost his entire body. He has done a couple of chemo treatments but because the chemo cannot get rid of all the cancer and he was really miserable during the treatments he has decided to just try and enjoy these last moments of his life. I know so many people have gone through similar experiences in their own lives so if you've been through it you know that cancer is NOT fun. My Dad has been really strong and positive throughout the whole process. Cancer is not fun at all but in a weird way this has really been a blessing for our family. We haven't always been super close to my Dad and Drake really didn't know him at all but in the past few months we have been able to do some really fun things and have a good time with him and his family. I am so grateful that we have had this time to spend with him and really get to know him again. The doctors have just recently given him 3-6 weeks to live which has been really hard to swallow. It has happened much faster than any of us expected and we are just praying that we will be able have a few good moments with him!!!

I just wanted to say I love summer and everything about it... Boating, wake boarding, wake surfing, Bear Lake, camp fire, smores, BBQ's, bubble jumping, tubing, hot sun, swimming suits, fireworks, watching Drake ride his bike, neighbors door bell ditching us, friends and family! I could go on and on! Please don't end!!!!!!

So I am pretty sure that no one looks at my blog anymore but I am going to try and keep it updated just because it is fun to look back on! Summer has been amazing so far. We have had a fun trip to Cali and of coarse our usual trips to Bear Lake and also Drake's birthday was a highlight of the summer! I cannot believe he is three, it is crazy!! I know we haven't updated in a few months but I just wanted to say hi and tell you all we are still alive. I have been giving mini updates on facebook but I will do better with the blog, I promise!! Right now we got away from our crazy and busy lives in Utah to beautiful beach in Hawaii!!! We are having a blast and I actually have time to sit down and post something. Josh went golfing today (his favorite) and Drake and I have been swimming all day! We just came back up to the room to watch the Jazz game! I am devastated that I am not there at the game... I know I am missing out! They better make it to the second round so I can dance again! Go JAZZ!!! I will post pictures of Hawaii when we get back!!!!

Two weekends ago we went to Disney Land with Josh's sister Jenni and her daughter Lexie. We had a blast!!!

Drake loved getting his autograph book signed by all the characters. He had his routine down, autograph, hug then picture!

Merry Christmas! We had a great Christmas!! It is so nice to spend the Holidays with family! It was also so much fun this year with Drake. I'm sure all parents can agree that Christmas with your kids is like reliving your childhood but even better!!!!!

Each time Drake opened a present he wanted to get it out and play with it right then and there, we had to bribe him to move on to the next present.

Like I have told you before, Drake loves trains so we got him a table with tracks, trains and cars galore!! It still entertains him for hours at a time! Love it!!!

Ha ha, look at Drake. He passed out at like 7:30 on Christmas Eve. We just had to squeeze in one picture with Grandma Noo Noo.

If you know Drake, you know that he loves trains! So one night for family night we decided to take the Frontrunner to the Gateway to see a movie and go to dinner. It was one of our favorites! Okay another funny story about our precious little guy Drake. One day in a matter of just a few minutes (while I was brushing my teeth) Drake got a hold of some red nail polish. Climbed up on the bar stool, opened the nail polish and painted each fingernail and toenail or should I say each finger.... and toe! I was actually pretty amazed at how well he did. On this same day just a few minutes later. Drake came out of my bathroom spitting and trying to wipe something off of his tongue. I asked him, Drake did you eat something? Yeah, I drank something. So I had him show me what it was that he took a little sip of. He took me in my bathroom and showed me some Bath and Body Works body splash. Which I knew was almost completely full and now completely empty!! Of coarse I immediately panicked and called poison control. The guy asked me if Drake was drunk.... I laughed and asked "are you serious?" He said "yes". So I replied and said "I don't know, lately he always acts drunk." The guy told me that Drake would be slurring his words and falling all over the place if he was really drunk. Well luckily that wasn't the case and he was just acting like his usual self, so there was nothing to worry about. I later realized that he actually spilled the body splash all over his shirt and the rug and probably barely even had a sip........ I promise I watch my child! :) We definitely went through a phase that was probably the hardest of all phases so far. He was into EVERYTHING and really EVERYTHING! As I was cleaning up one disaster, he was creating another. Things have definitely calmed down a lot and have been much better!

I think I have mentioned in a previous post how crazy our life has been lately. If you know Drake and have been around him lately you know that he does not stop talking!!! I love hearing his little voice but he really never stops. On top of that he has loads and loads of energy! I don't know if it is the weather and we are inside all day or if it is just the age but WOW! One day I let him earn a trip to Kangaroo Zoo. He had to earn it this time because we were on our way there a day before this and we had to stop at Costco on our way. Drake had a complete melt down at Costco and I had to carry him out of there with him kicking, screaming, scratching and pulling my hair. He definitely lost the privilege of going to Kangaroo Zoo that day. He luckily earned it back a couple of days later and we went to get some of all that energy out! It really worked he took a great nap that day!

While Lindsay was in town for Thanksgiving, I was able to steal her for a night! Josh had his tickets to the Jazz game but was offered tickets to the BYU vs. Utah game. I didn't have to work that night so I took the tickets and Linds and I went to the game! Lindsay is also a HUGE Jazz fan so it only made sense for us to go! We ended up talking through the entire game and it went by way too fast but I had a blast!!!! I can't wait for her to come in to town for Christmas. Love ya girl!

Danielle's baby shower!!! My friends are finally starting to have kids. I have been the only one for a while now and it is so fun to see my friends starting their little families. Jen just had her darling little girl just a couple of months ago (so precious) and Danielle will have hers at the end of December! It was so good to get together with everyone! I love you all!

Happy Thanksgiving!!! We had a great Thanksgiving day! I had to work later that day but we were able to spend most of the day with Josh's family. We had a great dinner, watched football, did crafts and played bingo. Drake has two boy cousins on the Webb side that are about his age and when they all get together you better watch out!! Boys will be boys right? Drake has so much fun with his cousins and loves all his aunts, uncles, Grandma and Grandpa very much!!!!

Funny Story

Okay so here is a funny story and a little glimpse of how our life has been going lately. So Drake was coloring at the counter the other day and I wanted to work on addressing our Christmas cards so I was in the office. All of the sudden I hear a huge crash!!!! It was a terrifying sound and horrible thoughts were going through my head as I ran into the kitchen scared of what I was going to find. Luckily Drake was peacefully sitting on top of the counter not hurt, but something was missing from my counter and shattered across the kitchen floor. I had a cute two tier plate platter and when I walked into the kitchen I asked Drake what happened. He calmly said "I pushed it off because I needed you to come in here and talk to me". I couldn't help but laugh out loud, it was hilarious. I explained to him that he doesn't need to break things to get attention, he can just talk to me. When I started to clean up the mess and throw the pieces of glass in the garbage Drake started screaming and crying "just get the tape and fix it don't throw it away." Ha! I wish tape fixed everything!!! :)

In October I also had the awesome opportunity of traveling with some of my best friends to Europe for two of the Jazz preseason games. It was an amazing experience! I want to go back with my family now!

Happy Halloween!!!! We had a great Halloween and of coarse Drake loved every second of it. I let Drake pick out his own costume this year.... I should have known it would be Thomas the Train. He loved it and it was so fun to see him so happy. Like I said in my last post, Drake loves witches so that is what I dressed up as. And of coarse Josh just tried to get as ugly as he could get. It was so much fun!!!

For Halloween themed Family Night we took Drake to a pumpkin patch. It was so cute, they had a witch there and he still talks about this awesome witch. We each picked out our own pumpkins and instead of carving them we decided to paint them and Drake loved it.

They also had face painting. Drake chose a witch hat because of the darling witch he just met before this.

Of coarse you can tell which one is Josh's pumpkin. He is the most artistic one of the family!
